Razzil always had much interest in music, particularly the engineering, with acts such as The Prodigy inspiring the roots of his journey. He would seek out House, Trance and Techno tunes to spin with friends until happening upon Drum & Bass in New York City at the turn of the millenium. A few years down the road, a chance introduction to Basek and his brother Furious would spark the final turn towards full focus on D&B and the formation of their DJ act Mental Implants. Radu was able to pick up beatmatching and advanced timings very quickly, and even helped Shawn along with his skill on the decks. They developed their signature progressive style and recorded several promotional mixes, all of which received positive attention. As the project started to fade in favor of solo production, Radu entered college for signal processing engineering. He paralleled his classes with rigorous music theory studies, as well formally learning a few instruments. The new found abundance of knowledge began to materialize into consistent original works, Drum & Bass and otherwise. Now, as his evolution continues, he rejoins Furious alongside a fresh cast of dedicated New England producers to form the core of Declassified Audio. This platform for collaboration will prove to yield his best work yet.
