BIO:

Cross Chatter is a native Mainer who grew up on metal, hardcore and punk music culture. In his early teens Adam was introduced to the sounds of House by friends. His curiosity of production methods as well as the underground parallels of the familiar scenes inspired him to work towards acquiring a pair of turntables, and every dance record he could get his hands on. Like many gamers before him, Adams initiation into production was through MTV Music Generator, however his natural computer savvy quickly led him to seek more sophisticated software. Adams attention turned to Drum & Bass after a trip to Boston to scout colleges. Although he had some exposure to the high-tempo sound the desired vinyl was hard to come by in Maine. He reunited with friends who had moved to the city and were well stocked with plates, and after a weekend long basement session his path was chosen. The pace and chaos of the breakbeats and reece basslines harkened him back to the energy of hardcore, and the challenge of performing such complex music pushed his limits. Adam began regularly attending Elements upon moving to Boston and was inspired by the tight-knit, yet lively D&B scene. Through attending events he met several aspiring artists, including Sine Language. The two quickly formed the group Negative Force and began performing in New England, to much success. As the group began to fade, Adam focused on solo production. He diligently fine tuned his signature sound and polished his solo performance, and Cross Chatter was born.
