Furious, aka Shawn Conte, is grateful for his music education through the years. Since childhood, he has listened to a diverse range of rock and blues, metal and hip-hop through high school, and electronic music, particularly Drum & Bass through college. Shawn has utilized his knowledge and experience in the studio, creating solid productions and inspired arrangements. Shawn is the quintessential collaborator and team builder. He has founded or assisted in the creation of several production groups, DJ acts and event companies in New England including The Capsule, Mental Implants, The Statesmen, Music Ecology and Cycle. Success in electronic music requires a constant state of learning and applying new techniques to both production and engineering, and with the tutelage of long-time colleague Justin Crosby, Shawn has continued to rapidly improve the mixing techniques that he started in college. Naturally, the two were excited to impart the knowledge on to their fellow Boston producers, and the core of Declassified Audio was formed. Creating the DCA imprint is the logical next step in the journey, and Shawn is fortunate to have this great team to venture with. Skill amplifies talent, and we want to be loud.
